Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using Ronin AI ("Application", "App", or "Service") operated by Brunology OÜ ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

To use certain features of the Service, you must sign in using Google or Apple. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
2.3 Account Accuracy
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update such information as necessary.
3. Description of Service
Ronin AI is an AI-powered chat application that provides conversational interactions using artificial intelligence technology. The Service includes:
- AI chat conversations
- Local storage of chat history on your device
- Optional premium subscription features
4. Important AI Disclaimers
4.1 Nature of AI
YOU UNDERSTAND AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT:

AI Limitations: The Service uses artificial intelligence that is probabilistic in nature. AI can and does make mistakes, produce inaccurate information, and generate responses that may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.

Not a Substitute for Professional Advice: The Service is NOT a substitute for professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to:
- Medical or health advice
- Mental health or psychological counseling
- Financial or investment advice
- Legal advice
- Emergency services

No Professional Relationship: Use of the Service does not create any professional-client relationship, including but not limited to doctor-patient, therapist-client, attorney-client, or financial advisor-client relationships.

Verify Information: You should independently verify any information, suggestions, or recommendations provided by the AI before relying on them. Do not make important decisions based solely on AI responses.

Emergency Situations: The Service is not designed for emergency situations. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, mental health crisis, or any situation requiring immediate professional assistance, contact appropriate emergency services immediately.
4.2 Mental Health Notice
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, or any emergency situation, please seek professional help immediately. The AI is not a mental health professional and cannot provide therapy, counseling, or crisis intervention.
4.3 Content Accuracy
AI-generated content may:
- Contain factual errors or "hallucinations"
- Be outdated or not reflect current information
- Miss important context or nuance
- Provide responses that are not appropriate for your specific situation
You are solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy, completeness, and usefulness of any AI-generated content.
4.4 No Warranties on AI Output
WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, COMPLETENESS, OR SUITABILITY OF ANY AI-GENERATED CONTENT FOR ANY PURPOSE.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
5.1 Permitted Use
You may use the Service for lawful personal purposes in accordance with these Terms.
5.2 Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
Illegal Activities:
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
- Engage in or promote illegal activities
- Facilitate fraud, money laundering, or other financial crimes
Harmful Content:
- Generate, distribute, or facilitate content that promotes violence, terrorism, or harm to individuals or groups
- Create content that exploits, harms, or endangers minors in any way
- Produce content that constitutes harassment, bullying, threats, or intimidation
- Generate hate speech or content that discriminates based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
Deceptive Practices:
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Create misleading or deceptive content, including deepfakes or synthetic media intended to deceive
- Spread misinformation or disinformation
- Engage in phishing or social engineering
System Abuse:
- Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service
- Attempt to "jailbreak," manipulate, or bypass the AI's safety measures or content policies
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to access the Service without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
Intellectual Property Violations:
- Infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
- Use the Service to generate content that violates third-party intellectual property
Other Prohibited Uses:
- Use the Service for spam or unsolicited communications
- Resell, redistribute, or commercialize access to the Service without authorization
- Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Service
5.3 Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates these Terms, including:
- Removing or refusing to post content
- Suspending or terminating account access
- Reporting violations to law enforcement
- Pursuing legal action
6. Fair Usage Policy
6.1 Service Limits
To ensure fair access and prevent abuse, the Service includes usage limits:
- Free Tier: Limited to a daily message allowance (resets at midnight UTC)
- Premium Tier: Unlimited messages, subject to fair use
Current limits are displayed within the App.
6.2 Rate Limiting
We implement rate limiting to protect the Service from abuse and ensure availability for all users:
- Per-Minute Limits: All users are subject to per-minute rate limits
- Automated Detection: We monitor for patterns indicative of automated or abusive usage
6.3 Abuse Prevention
We reserve the right to:
- Rate limit, throttle, or temporarily suspend accounts exhibiting unusual usage patterns
- Permanently terminate accounts engaged in abuse, bot activity, or attempts to circumvent limits
- Modify usage limits at any time with reasonable notice
Examples of abuse include but are not limited to:
- Operating bot farms or automated systems
- Excessive API-like usage patterns
- Attempts to extract or scrape data
- Sharing account credentials for bulk usage
- Any activity that degrades service quality for other users
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except in cases of severe or obvious abuse.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
7.1 Subscription Plans
The Service offers the following subscription options:
- Free Tier: Limited features and daily message limits
- Ronin Unlimited: Premium subscription available in monthly and yearly plans (yearly plan includes a free trial period)
Current pricing is displayed in the App and the Apple App Store. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.
7.2 Billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually)
- Payment is processed through the Apple App Store
- You must provide valid payment information to subscribe
7.3 Free Trial
- The yearly subscription may include a free trial period
- You will not be charged during the free trial period
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be automatically charged
7.4 Renewal and Cancellation
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store account settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- You retain access to premium features until the end of your paid period
7.5 Refunds
- Refunds are handled by the Apple App Store according to their policies
- To request a refund, contact Apple directly through their support channels
- We do not process refunds directly
7.6 Price Changes
- We may change subscription prices at any time
- Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing period
- We will provide reasonable notice of price increases
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, functionality, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by the Company and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service
- Use our trademarks or branding without permission
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
8.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you input into the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process Your Content solely to provide the Service.
8.3 AI-Generated Content
Content generated by the AI in response to your inputs is provided for your personal use. You may use AI-generated content subject to:
- These Terms of Service
- Applicable laws and third-party rights
- The requirement that you verify accuracy before relying on it
AI-generated content may not be unique, and other users may receive similar outputs.
9. Data and Privacy
9.1 Privacy Policy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://roninai.app/privacy. Please review it carefully.
9.2 Local Storage
Chat messages are stored locally on your device. Important:
- No Cloud Sync: Messages do not sync between devices
- Device Changes: Logging out or switching devices will result in permanent loss of your conversation history
- Backups: You are responsible for exporting any conversations you wish to preserve
9.3 Data Deletion
When you delete your account or request data deletion:
- Local data is deleted immediately from your device
- Cloud data (metadata, usage records) is deleted from our servers promptly
- Conversation state retained by our AI provider (xAI) may take up to 30 days to be fully deleted
10. Disclaimers
10.1 "As Is" and "As Available"
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT
10.2 No Guarantee of Availability
We do not guarantee that the Service will be:
- Available at all times or without interruption
- Free of errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities
- Compatible with all devices or operating systems
10.3 Third-Party Services
The Service relies on third-party providers (including xAI for AI processing). We are not responsible for:
- Outages or issues with third-party services
- Changes to third-party services that affect the Service
- Third-party privacy practices
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 Exclusion of Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:
- INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
- LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM AI-GENERATED CONTENT
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT
- DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT OR CONTENT
11.2 Cap on Liability
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF:
- THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR
- ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100)
11.3 Jurisdictional Limitations
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your Content or how you use AI-generated content
13. Termination
13.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Using the "Delete Account" feature in the app's Settings
- Contacting us at bruno@brunology.tech
13.2 Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, if:
- You breach these Terms
- We are required to do so by law
- We discontinue the Service
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
- We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnification)
14. Governing Law and Disputes
14.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14.2 Dispute Resolution
If you have a dispute with us:

Informal Resolution: Contact us first at bruno@brunology.tech. We will attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.

Formal Proceedings: If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Estonia, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in such courts.
14.3 EU Users
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also have rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms affects those rights.
15. General Provisions
15.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Service.
15.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
15.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
15.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
15.5 Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms with a new "Last Updated" date
- Providing notice within the App for significant changes
Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.
15.6 Language
These Terms are written in English. If translated into other languages, the English version prevails in case of conflict.
